Having cancer does not mean you have to give up school, college or university or repeat a year. There are ways you can continue with your education and if you are doing exams, you can still complete them. In fact, most people find that it is really helpful to keep up with some sort of education, as it gives you something to do and also provides you with a sense of 'normality'. Also it is not much fun having to go back after a long absence and having to repeat the year. Some people even find that they are able to attend as normal during treatment, and others go when they can. The sooner you can get into school or college and continue your education, the easier it will be in the long term. Select one of the options on the left to find out more.
