When we are frightened, it can make it difficult to sleep, concentrate, or you may feel irritable.You can feel fretful, nervous and this may cause a physical feeling, for example, a lump in the back of your throat. Remember it is natural to worry about what is happening or what might happen in the future.

  • If there is something in particular that you are scared of, such as a test or treatment, finding out more about it can be helpful. Although it won't take it away completely, it will make it easier.
