- District nurses work closely with GPs and make regular visits to support patients and their families at home.
- Macmillan and Marie Curie nurses are specially trained to look after people with cancer in their own homes. Let your doctors or nurses know if you are having any problems so that they can arrange some help for you.
- Counsellors are experts in helping people to deal with their emotions. They can give advice and support. And it can sometimes feel easier to talk to someone who is not directly involved with your illness. You can ask your doctor to refer you to a counsellor or you can call the cancer support specialists at Macmillan Cancer Support.
- Doctors and nurses from your cancer hospital will also help and support you.
