It can sometimes be difficult to deal with other people when you’re coping with cancer. You might feel that they won’t understand what you’re going through. You might be worried that you’ll upset others by talking about the cancer, or you might be scared to show them how upset you are. But talking things through with people can often help.  

Everyone has different ways of coping. Some young people talk to their mum or dad, brothers or sisters, or close friends. Sometimes it’s hard to put your feelings into words. You might be the kind of person who doesn’t like to talk much and prefers to keep things private. This section will help you look at ways to talk about your feelings.
