If you’re on medication when you travel, make sure you have enough to cover your whole journey, plus some extra just in case of delays. Some countries limit the amount of particular drugs that you can take into the country. You can check with the country’s embassy or High Commission about any restrictions they may have.

If you need to take drugs like morphine in or out of the UK then you need a letter from your doctor. This will also be helpful if you’re taking syringes, needles or portable medicine pumps with you. Carry any medical letters in your hand luggage as Customs will want to have access to them.
