Bone marrow transplants or high-dose chemotherapy (autografts/stem cell transplants) are particularly likely to affect fertility, especially if total body irradiation is given as part of this treatment.

If you have had both ovaries or both testicles removed as part of the treatment for cancer, this will mean permanent infertility.
This is also true if the womb is removed.
