My name's Dottie and I'm 18. I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in early Septmeber 2007 and started my chemo in late September. I had two cycles of OEPA and then two cycles of COPP. I finished my treatment on the 6th of January 2008. If there's anyone who's going through chemo for Hodgkins and would like to ask me any questions I check this website basically every day and would be happy to reply :) Notes left for DottieHeyMERRY CHRISTMAS!! Hope your having a good day and enjoy that well deserved roast dinner mmm, can't waith for mine! Hope everything is going well chloe xx Left by Chloe_Parsons_ Don't worry, i thought i had sent mine late lol. What clothes shop are you working in. Do you get discounts? My mum is alright to buy for, my dads the worst. He never saids what he wants. Then i buy him something and he doesn't use it lol. I can't believe christmas is only 17 days a way! I've only got a week and a half left at college, the time has gone so fast. Your making me hungry, christmas dinners are the best. xxx Left by Chloe_Parsons_ Sorry for replying late, been busy with coursework, had profiling with teachers and some hospital appointments. All go, i’ve only got 3 weeks left at college, the time has gone so fast. Same, having cancer has made me see things differently in life. I was 13 when i was diagnosed with cancer and i did and didn't understand, you just go along with it where everything happens so fast. Now i'm 16 and i understand and learnt about things more. So when there is something i think is right or wrong or passionate about i can argue my point as well. I hope you enjoy your Christmas dinner. Left by Chloe_Parsons_ I'm glad your 6th form is going well. Its better to re do the year, theres no rush. I had left school at the end of year 8 and came back in year 10 but part time. It was hard to learn everything as i missed a year due to treatment. I'm not a maths or science person lol. I find them confusing. I'm like you lots of writing. I'm doing health and socail care double award, 2 A levels. This has so much coursework. I'm doing psycology which is a lot of reading and writing. Its a bit of science but better and less confusing than chemistry. i'm also doing english language AS. I was doing philosophy but found it so confusing so i changed. It was like are humans people, stuff like that. How do you find it. Yeah where i find psycology interesting its easier to learn but i've got the exam on january the 8th and we havn't learnt it all. I'm not ready for it. By the time i come back from christmas holidays, the exam will be in a couple of days. I can't believe it is going to be christmas in under 4 weeks. Are you doing anything for christmas? xx
Left by Chloe_Parsons_ helloI finished treatment may 2006. Its about 2 and 1/2 years ago now but that time has gone so fast. I can't believe its going to be 2009 soon. It does and doesn't feel along time ago. I can remember everything so clearly during treatment but it was a long time ago. Yeah same as you its emotions and worked mixed together. Like i'm a college full time but still have loads of hospital appointments. How is 6th form going, what subjects do you do? xx Left by Chloe_Parsons_ |
