Hospital experiences.

I was on the cardiac care unit so I had one to one nursing but one afternoon the consultant told me I could go back to the cancer ward. So I was moved up to the ward and I had my own room, it was very sunny in the room and the blinds weren't brilliant so I had to wait for the sun to move so it was out of shining in my eyes. Then my dad switched on the t.v and it was the most awful picture I had ever seen, all fuzzy and grey so I didn't watch much that night then I wanted to phone my grandma to tell her I had moved ward, but there was no button for the phone to rest on, so my dad went out to the coffee machine and got a plastic teaspoon and broke the end off and fixed it! I was laughing so much as then the nurse came in and my dad was like thats £12 Iv fixed the phone. Then the above bed light didn't work either! That night this old woman wondered into my room and my dad was trying to usher her out of the room, she was claiming it was her house! My dad was wearing an england rugby shirt so then she was like, "do you play for england?" so my dads reply was "only at weekends!" Then she said, "Im having an operation tomorrow will you look after me?" My dad answered, "no but those nurses at the desk will!" At about 4 in the morning I could hear her at the nurses desk, wanting to make a phone call! I felt sorry for her as shes obviously losing her mind a bit but at the time it was so funny!
