Chat room

Hi Bex

We've received a few comments about creating a chat room on the site. And it's something that the TIC team have been thinking about doing. We would probably need to raise some extra funds before we could start a chat room though.

We would be interested to hear from others using the site, to know if they think a chat room would be agood idea.

cool idea! I would love to be able to talk to other people. We will have to think of some ideas of how we can raise money.

I think it would be a really good idea to have a secure chat room, My dad runs most of the maraathons for chairty if some one can email me from cancer bacup i will give my address to get some CLIC 4 TIC sponsor forms sorted

Roughly how much are we talking about?

im sure theyre not TOO expensive to set up. it wud be g8 tho....did u guys go 2 the tct conferece

Many thanks for your comments and support for a chat room. Aa I said above, we would really like to introduce some kind of chat room on the site. However, at the moment we're not sure when we will be able to do this.

We also aren't sure exactly how much a chat room would cost. There are different ways of running a chat room, which we still need to look at and work out the financial costs.

In the mean time we would be very happy if people wanted to raise funds for TIC. We have a separate fundraising department at CancerBACUP who can give you advice about different, and fun ways of raising funds. If you fancy doing some fundraising contact Danielle on 020 7920 7252, or Jo on 020 7920 7211. You can also click the 'Get involved' link on the main CancerBACUP website.

bandanna_babe, do you mean the one at center parks? I was gonna go but wasn't well.

yeah. aah thats a bummer..trust me if they offer ya a place next year go. its the best. i only just made it as i had been in hospital 3 days before and had platelets the mornin before i left and as soon as i got back i needed three units of blood! but it was SOOO worth it! I am gona go again next year so ill hopefully cya there!

I'm sorry, you're finding it frustrationg, not being able to message people directly, carl but unfortunately we can't have anybody's personal contact details on the site (you'll notice that I've taken your contact details out of your introduction) it's because we have to be careful and make sure we don't end up with problems when teenagers are being contacted by unsavoury characters...you know what I mean?

Hi there guys,

We are trying to make it easier for you all to chat to each other. I think we'll be doing it by allowing you to message each other directly. It'll take a few weeks to get up and running but should be a great new thing.

Hi, has any one seen anything about the next centre park's its ment to be in october 08 :) will be putting my name down soon as. was great last year - all the erm parties on the last night lol.
