“Before i started my chemo i had a bone marrow test and lumber puncture. When the tests came back my bone marrow was full of leukaemia cells. I started my treatment with 4 bags of Daunorubicin, 3 IT methotrexate’s, 5 vincristine slow injections and 2 agonising muscular injections of PEG Asparaginase. I was on oral mercaptopurine and dexamethasone aswell.  All i can remember of the first few months is nurses squirting medicine into my mouth and lying in bed all the time!  I was really weak and fell a couple of times and doctors would come and check me over as if i was about to die!  I had lots of blood transfusions and they really worked, after one i would have rosy cheeks and would feel a bit stronger!

After a month of treatment i was in remission Smile I was so happy i cried and cried! I celebrated with a pizza delivery from pizza hut, weird i know but i could hardly go out to party!”
