I'm getting a bit too used to theatre!story added: 14/08/2010x_abbie_x (Hodgkin lymphoma, 16, F, England)
Last week I went to theatre to have my port implanted. They put it just under my bra line and a week later when they tried to access it when (yet again) we were in theatre they found the stitches had pulled out and it had flipped. Now I have to go into theatre again and have it put on my chest near my collar bone. The stupid thing is that the surgeon came in to explain it and said it was better up there. But why couldn't they do thay before??? I've put this as a tip as well but ask your consultant/surgeon if you can have it near your collar bone. It's better for girls too as you don't have to pull your bra up every time they access it. Hopefully you'll have better experiences. xxx
