how it all started
In 2005 Cancerbackup (which merged with Macmillan Cancer Support in 2008) realised there was a need for more cancer information aimed at teenagers. They formed a Steering Group to think about what was needed. This group came up with the original idea for the TIC website, and lots of people came on board to make sure it was developed along the right lines. We also worked with a Consultation Crew of teenagers affected by cancer, who told us what they wanted from the site. The steering group continued to meet twice a year to make sure the project was on track.
