You will be seen by at least one doctor every day although the time that they see you will vary. On most wards the consultant will do a ward round about twice a week so you might miss them if you are in for a short time. It’s a good idea to write down any questions that you have so that you can ask them when they come to see you. Depending on how many patients the doctors have to see, the ward round can take up to an hour so you may have to wait as they work their way around the ward.

You will also be seen by everyone else involved in your care including the physiotherapist and dietician. This may be every day or less often, depending on your needs. You may also be coming and going from the ward for tests and scans.
