Mission: To carry out operations.

Location: Operating theatres in hospitals.

Skills: A trained doctor who has specialised in surgery.

Notes: Surgery can range from doing a biopsy (removing a small piece of tissue from the tumour to look at under the microscope) to removing the whole tumour. Surgeons also put in central lines. They often specialise in a particular area, e.g. bone surgery.
