Affects: White blood cells and the bone marrow

Most common symptoms: Feeling tired, bruising, being prone to infection

Causes: Not yet known, but infection may play a part

Tests: Blood tests, bone marrow sample, lumbar puncture, chest x-ray

Treatment: Intensive chemotherapy
