We don't know what causes non-Hodgkin lymphoma, but research is going on all the time to try and find the answer. Remember though, it isn't anything that you have done!
It is not something that runs in families, so because one person in the family has had it, this does not mean that the rest of the family is more likely to get it.
Lymphomas are not infectious and cannot be passed on to other people.
